Mr Good Bard

"There have been moments where I have maybe not taken the right road. You can try to make up for it but sometimes you can't. It is too late. And there are times too that are part of survival as well where you instinctively fight incorrectly. A friend reminds me that I am on the wrong path, in my relationship with them or what I am doing, but the ego doesn't want to hear about it. We don't want to be reminded sometimes of what we are doing. We don't want to look in the mirror, or look in the eyes of someone who knows you well and justify yourself. I think we like to think of ourselves doing the right thing more often than we do it. But life is not black and white. It is usually more uncomfortably in the middle."

From an ELLE Quebec interview:

The type of woman that attracts Viggo

How is this friendship disrupted by the insertion of a woman of intrigue, played by Renée Zellwegger?
"I can’t exactly tell you how! But let’s say I really like Renée’s role. She’s depicting a complex woman, perhaps manipulative, but very touching in the way she admits her fear of being alone. In that way she shows herself to be both vulnerable and honest."

Is this the kind of woman that attracts you?

“I like women who are honest, with others and with themselves. And if I’m lucky, with me too! “(laughs)

You’ve met such women?
(long silence) “Honest women are rare, you know...”

Why do you say that?
(He evades the question and turns it back to me: ) “Why do you think?”

Err....my opinion? Let’s say that it happens that some women are more attached to their image than to their true nature.
“Indeed, but it’s not just women that are trapped by their image and who dare not express what they really are. The same goes for men. Such men are sometimes caught up in their idea of masculinity and the roles they believe they have to play in society, or in their private life. And of course, one has to be ready to take risks to be in a couple. In fact I think that having the courage to be oneself is the most difficult thing in the world. The most essential and also the most magnificent."

from Digital Spy Forum

"I met Orlando Bloom and Viggo Mortensen late one night last August, both were friendly and polite, though I embarrassingly didn't realise it was Viggo until he spoke."

Dear Ted:
When do you think the inevitable breakup between hottie Orlando Bloom and that underwear ho will be? I am hoping for a Merry Christmas.
—Tina

Dear No Time Like the Present:
We don't think Orlando'll fit in your stocking—try his more stocking-size Lord of the Rings costar Elijah Wood.
Orlando Bloom Engaged

Orlando Bloom is engaged. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor is blissfully happy with Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr, and the pair are reportedly making plans to tie the knot.

A source told America's Star magazine: "They are talking about settling down and getting married in a year. They have had a bit of a crazy year, but they do love each other and she wants to be his wife."

The couple were recently spotted enjoying a romantic meal at exclusive Californian restaurant Primitivo, where they held hands and canoodled throughout the evening.

Miranda, 25, was sporting a collection of expensive jewelry - including a stunning jewel-encrusted bracelet - most of which had been bought for her by Orlando, 31.

He reportedly spent $2,000 on Afghan jewelry for her at a recent charity auction, and has since demanded she throws out any baubles from her previous boyfriends.

A source said: "At Primitivo Miranda was saying she only wears stuff from Orlando now!"
